Job Description
About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of War for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of War, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.
Develop policy and strategic direction on casualty, mortuary, military funeral honors, and accountability.
Represent the Directorate in the development, review, and coordination of all relevant policies.
Serve as the primary policy advisor to the Director during the formal governance meetings.
Develop and recommend policy governing the use and future development of the Defense Casualty Information Processing System.
Represent the Directorate and supports the Director on the Central Joint Mortuary Affairs Board.
