Program Analyst (Operations and Program Manager)

About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Military Community and Family Policy (DASW (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of War for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of War, Personnel and Readiness (USW (P&R)). This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.

Serve as the lead authority and analytical gatekeeper managing all policy, staff actions, and information requests routed to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Principal Deputy.

Perform expert analysis and review of critical briefing portfolios, Congressional testimonies, and speeches for senior leadership decision-making.

Design optimal workforce planning for the Military Personnel Policy staff.

Proactively aligns calendar requirements with the preparation of critical briefing materials.

Manage the overall Military Personnel Policy travel budget.

Maintain oversight of Directorate property such as: IT assets and critical equipment.
