Job Description
- Responsibilities
- Receive, label and analyse samples per standard procedures; interpret and present findings
- Record all data and results accurately, on paper and electronically
- Store chemicals, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
- Maintain equipment, daily logs and record books; assist with ordering supplies
- Follow all safety guidelines strictly and keep a clean, orderly environment
- Requirements
- BSc in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related field
- Valid laboratory technician licence
- Proven experience as a lab technician, including lab equipment and potentially hazardous substances
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
- Experience of working in a QC and R&D laboratory setting (desirable)
- Understanding of complex laboratory machinery and related computer programs (desirable)
