Maintenance Mechanic

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Tooele Army Depot. This position serves as Maintenance Mechanic responsible for carpentry and lightning protection.

Installing, modifying, troubleshooting and repairing new and existing high-pressure piping systems and equipment such as steam heating; steam generation; flash and expansion tanks; condensate, vacuum, and circulation pumps; and radiators.

Installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil and gas distribution systems, hydrants, water mains, water closets, and air compression equipment.

Troubleshooting components and disassembling, repairing, and reassembling complete devices and subassemblies of various electrical systems.

Installing, modifying, repairing, troubleshooting, testing and loading new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls and equipment.

Constructing, altering, repairing, or modifying components and structures such as framework, rafters, doors, finished paneling, windows, rough furniture, interior and exterior trim, staircases, trusses and beams.
