Assistant Technical Designer Greenhouse & Irrigation

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will provide technical design, drafting, estimation, documentation and project support for greenhouse, irrigation and related agricultural intrastructure projects. The position will also provide technical and application support on greenhouse structures, irrigation systems, irrigation equipment and related technologies, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically appropriate, commercially viable and aligned with Amiran Kenya's quality standards and customer requirements. The role will support the Senior Technical Designer.

AutoCAD & Technical Draughting

Site Surveys & Technical Verification

Bill of Quantities (BOO) Preparation

Cost Estimation & Quotations

Technical Documentation & Drawing Management

Project Technical Support

Technical & Application Support

Training & Knowledge Transfer

Quality Assurance & Compliance

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate should possess:

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following or a closely related discipline:

Agricultural Engineering. Irrigation Engineering. Water Engineering. Civil Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering,

Agricultural Technology/Engineering.

Other relevant technical engineering discipline Additional training/certification in CAD, irrigation design, hydraulics, greenhouse technology or project management will be an advantage.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum Experience: 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in technical design, irrigation, greenhouse systems, agricultural engineering, CAD draughting, project estimation or a closely related field.
