Technician – Masonry

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

Maintaining workshop inventories by receiving and issuing tools and materials, and ensuring sufficient materials are available in the workshop;

Observing and ensuring that health and safety procedures are practised and

Providing technical support during training; enforced;

Ensuring proper usage, safe custody and inventory of kits, tools and equipment;

Undertaking repairs and maintenance in the area of specialization within the Institution;

Providing procurement specifications for all workshop equipment to be purchased.

Ensuring general cleanliness of the work area

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:

A Diploma in Building Technology and a Craft Certificate in Masonry;

At least three (3) years of relevant experience;

Computer literacy (recommended for consistency with similar positions).
