SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT)

About the Position: This position is located at Army Health Clinic Presidio. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Supervises the staff. Directs daily work assignments in terms of trouble tickets, work orders, or project information. Reviews schedules to assure maximum utilization of personnel, and adjusts personnel duty tours, as necessary, to meet workload requirements. Identifies problems related to specific types of hardware/software. Plans, develops, implements, and maintains programs, policies and standard operating procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems, networks and data Initiates or participates in the review and improvement of work methods, organizational features, and structure to eliminate unnecessary positions and achieve optimum utilization. Develops policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility, and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems networks and data and confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) Participates in a wide variety of automation projects and studies with an emphasis on desktop configuration, implementation and activity-unique services
