Social Worker

About the Position: The purpose of this position is to provide a full range of professional social work services for active duty, retired military members, reservists when eligible for medical care, and their families located in Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth. This position is with the Pediatric Department, and pediatric experience is highly desired. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Conduct intake evaluations on routine and emergency basis. Prepare written evaluation reports with clinical impressions and recommendations. Assess individuals to explore the development of behavior patterns, mechanisms, and symptoms. Determine the facts concerning patients’ problems and the underlying causes to assess the needs of the individual and/or family. Conduct intake evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments. Establish treatment plan, annotate adjustments to treatment plan as required over the course of therapy. Perform consultation services for other medical clinics as needed and as related to patient care.
