SHEET METAL MECHANIC

You will serve as a Sheet Metal Mechanic in the PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia ***See Additional Information section below for details***

You will manufacture sheet metal items by laying out common forms from samples, sketches and blueprints.

You will assemble and install various sections to complete sheet metal portions of various systems or items of equipment.

You will position sheet metal sections, join them together and secure them in place with screws, bolts or other fasteners.

You will make repairs or alterations to sheet metal equipment by manufacturing and installing replacements for defective parts.

You will operate standard machine tools, power equipment and other hand tools utilized in the sheet metal trade.

You will apply knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, and geometric and trigonometric principles used to perform sheet metal layout on various transitions, offsets, elbows, cones, and other general sheet metal work.
