Job Description
The Research Officer II (Aquatic Sciences) will be responsible for carrying out research-related activities, supporting project planning, and contributing to the preparation of research outputs and proposals.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Performing field data collection, computer data entry, data analysis, and gathering relevant literature.
- Undertaking specific research activities with less supervision from senior researchers or the team leader.
- Preparing and submitting manuscript drafts according to respective work plans.
- Training and supervising technicians.
- Preparing research progress reports according to the respective work plan.
- Assisting in the planning of specific research projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of fundable research proposals and consultancies.
- Performing any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must be holders of a Master’s Degree in Aquatic Sciences from a recognized institution.
In addition, applicants must have:
- Scored at least Upper Second Class; or
- Obtained an overall minimum pass of grade B+ for an unclassified Bachelor’s Degree.
