Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production staff to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor production processes to ensure output meets quality standards and daily production targets.
Assign duties, monitor employee performance, and provide guidance to production personnel.
Ensure shelling machines and other production equipment are operated efficiently and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Conduct routine inspections to maintain product quality and minimize waste or kernel breakage.
Identify operational challenges, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate major equipment faults to the maintenance team.
Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, attendance, and equipment performance.
Train and mentor production staff on operational procedures, safety standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with management to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
Proven ability to lead and motivate production teams.
Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control procedures.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Basic knowledge of machine operations and preventive maintenance.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
Must be willing to work in Mowe-Ibafo, Ogun State.
