We are inviting applications from suitably qualified, committed and competent persons to fill the following vacancies that have arisen within our organization.

PROCUREMENT CLERK (GRADE 6)

Reporting To: Procurement Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in the preparation of RFQs in accordance with the requirements of PRAZ* Maintain the tender register and provide updates to the Procurement Officer* File procurement minutes* Perform clerical duties during PMU meetings* File procurement documents and update the Officer on the status of RFQs* Interpret the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23)* Assist in implementing the annual procurement plan for Chegutu Rural District Council* Expedite procurement assignments* Assist in opening and evaluation of bids, awards and price/cost analysis* Advise the Officer on procurement activities* Assist the PMU section in building sectional relationships* Track bid notices in the Gazette and national newspapers

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Attributes

* Minimum National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or related qualification* At least one (1) year experience in public procurement* Not more than 30 years old* No criminal record
