Job Description

About the Position: Serves as a Medical Supply Technician for the Sterile Processing Department in Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, VA. Work Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday, 0645-1515 2nd Shift - Monday -Friday, 1445-2315 3rd Shift - Monday - Friday, 2245-0715 Weekend Days - 0645 - 1915 Weekend Nights - 1845 - 0715 Alternate Schedule Negotiable. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Prepare surgical instruments and medical equipment using High Level Disinfection (HLD). Assemble surgical instruments based on standard operating procedures. Operate sterilization equipment. Maintain established supply levels and rotation of supplies. Perform testing on equipment for the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments. Utilize the appropriate sterilization method based upon manufacture requirements and recommendations.
