Maintenance Worker

About the Position: Serve as a Maintenance Worker. This role involves minor carpentry, drywall repair and finishing, painting, and installing carpet and other flooring materials. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Complete a variety of work primarily involving minor carpentry, drywall repair and finishing, painting, and installing carpet and other flooring materials. Install, alter, and remove drywall, metal studs, ceiling grids, tiles, and access panels. Install hardware such as locksets, closers, kick plates, and blinds. Remove old flooring and prepare surfaces for new installations. Apply adhesives, create precise seams, and prepare subfloors. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
