IT Specialist (Systems Administration / Customer Support)

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Information Management Branch, Honolulu Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide Tier II technical customer service and support to the military treatment facility (MTF) and all affiliated units. Provide formal or informal training so that users understand the relationships of the system and can work with the system without undue interruption. Perform computer systems security support functions to protect and provide appropriate access to sensitive patient information on computer program assets. Support the MHS Help Desk and IMD Data Center(s). Analyze and determine cause of malfunctions related to hardware, software, security, or environment; initiates corrective action. Prepare and review a variety of reports, schedules, and other data to respond to malfunctions and/or backlog.
