IT SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING)

As a IT SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING) at the GS-2210-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with the plans, policies, standards, and architecture that establish the framework for managing IT policy and planning applications. Provide leadership and critically influence service delivery success by ensuring the rigorous application of information security assurance and integrating accountability for strategic policy plans. Lead the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, defining the vision, and finalizing the strategy roadmap. Develop and maintain strategic plans, assess policy needs, prepare IT budgets, and manage IT investment portfolios to measure and evaluate system performance and total cost of ownership. Serve as a specialist for a wide set of policies, products, and services, providing methods for sharing information and using performance measurement tools to resolve IT workforce issues. Coordinate IT policy and planning across multiple divisions and directorates with a particular focus on identity management and benefits management processes. Interact with internal and external customers, prepare and deliver oral and written communications, and provide problem-solving for technical, functional, and organizational challenges.
