Infection Preventionist

About the Position: This position is located at the 75th Medical Group, Hill Air Force Base in Utah. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Administer the Military Treatment Facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program (ICP), including policy and procedure development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and liaising with internal and external committees. Advise leadership on program resources, equipment, personnel, and practice improvements. Apply epidemiologic principles and data analysis to track, trend, monitor, and prevent infections. Implement Infection Control Risk Assessments, and risk reduction and error prevention strategies to reduce Healthcare-Associated Infections and improve patient care. Develop Infection Prevention and Control education and training for the Medical Treatment Facility’s staff.
