High Voltage Electrician

About the Position: This position is located in the Resource Management Logistics Facility Management Department at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Perform the full range of work involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification and testing of primary and secondary distribution systems requiring knowledge of electrical principles, procedures. Plan, lays-outs, install, modify, test, maintain, and repair a variety of fixtures, hardware and equipment including transformers, generators, insulators, breakers, fuses, conductors, switches, cable, conduit, wire, control systems. Construct and install rigid and thin wall conduits. Pull in conductors, assemble bus bars, phase out and connect conductors. Test, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all parts of distribution system, generating system and controlling equipment including load, transformers, switches, and cable connections. Serve as an Operator in Charge, alternating responsibilities with one other High Voltage Electrician. Maintain all records and generator engine operating manuals.
