Formwork Carpenter

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced formwork carpenter specialising in formwork who can work confidently across a range of construction environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork systems to support concrete structures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and strip formwork for slabs, walls, columns, beams, footings, and other structural elements

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and site instructions

• Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials including timber, plywood, and steel systems

• Set out levels, alignments, and dimensions to ensure accuracy

• Install reinforcement supports, bracing, and temporary structures

• Assist with concrete pours, compaction, and finishing as required

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with WHS standards

• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, concreters, and other trades

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter

• Strong understanding of structural formwork systems

• Ability to read and interpret plans

• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• White Card required; additional tickets highly regarded
