EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Equipment Specialist in the Project Material and Work Packaging Division of the Detachment Guam for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) at Naval Base Guam. The primary PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

You will manage and coordinate the timely ordering and acquisition of project materials.

You will provide information and guidance to project team on material requirements, sources of supply, and prices for overhaul, alteration and repair of shipboard equipment and systems.

You will review job material lists for accuracy and conformance to approved policies and procedures.

You will coordinate all material procurement efforts for assigned systems.

You will advise project engineers and technicians of material requirements to meet required specifications.

You will obtain, evaluate, and recommend selection of manufacturer's development proposals based upon consideration of costs, engineering merits, and the ability of the manufacturer to meet requirements.
