About the Position: The Installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. Serve as Engineering Technician, accomplishing the full range of technical activity required for life-cycle project management.

Develop cost estimates to aid in the plan and control of projects.

Develop construction plans and specifications for large and small facilities.

Analyze the design and construction requirements, extracts pertinent data from a variety of sources.

Write specifications which will economically satisfy the design requirements in terms of materials, equipment and construction methods.

Design working drawings to translate the accepted concepts into plans which reflect the detailed design of all phases of the project including plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical/mechanical systems.

Conduct feasibility studies on various systems, i.e., roofing, walls, flooring, doors, windows and interior and exterior surfaces of structures, to determine the most economical, while maintaining quality.
