Job Description
About the Position: This is a vacancy for an Engineering Equipment Operator, WG-5716-11, Illinois Waterway Project, Maintenance Section, located in Peoria, Illinois. This position is being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA). There will be a 90 day restriction on movement for those selected under this authority.
Engaged in construction and maintenance of shore protection and channel control work on the Illinois Waterway.
Operate crawler-type equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction; including material handlers, bulldozers, motor grades, tractors, pavement rollers, etc.
Utilizes equipment to push and grade or load and relocate earth, riprap, gravel, or other materials; clear brush and stubble or tree stumps; cut weeds and grass; etc.
Operates and/or maintains and repairs marine and engineering equipment.
