Electrician

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works on Fort Hood, TX.

Repairs lighting systems or other systems atop antenna or towers.

Tests circuits and equipment by use of voltmeter, ammeter, and wattmeter.

Operates a high duty pickup type truck to transport self and materials to worksite.

Performs maintenance services, diagnoses system or equipment malfunction, and repairs as necessary.

Inspects, maintains, cleans, repairs, tests, and adjusts a variety of equipment, circuitry, and fixtures such as, electrical buzzer and bell circuits, light sockets, lighting fixtures, fans, switches, office and heating appliances, fire alarms, etc.

Installs, maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, tests, and repairs electrical wiring systems, related switches, controls, distribution panels, and outlet boxes, as well as a wide variety of electrical fixtures, tools and appliances.
