The primary purpose of this position is to operate boom cranes at various outdoor locations where maneuverability is restricted and accuracy is critical and to operate equipment, such as graders, tractors, front-end loaders, etc. performing functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, rolling earth, sand, stone.

Operate boom cranes where maneuverability is restricted, and accuracy is critical. Apply skilled techniques in moving loads near obstructions. Operate one or more types of heavy equipment to excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth to rough specifications on such projects as breaking new ground for trails, roads, airfields, or other construction sites. Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Use and maintains tools and equipment.
