Overall purpose of the job

Reporting to the Chef, the incumbent will assist in the implementation of hospitality policies, procedures and processes particular in catering unit. 

Job specifications (duties)

The specific duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -

Preparing and cooking of food as per the approved recipes;

Maintain set hygiene standards in the kitchen;

Following established kitchen work schedules;

Carrying out daily stock take of supplies and monitoring stock levels of food supply; and

Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.

Persons’ specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

Certificate in Food Production from a recognized institution;

Fulfil the requirements of chapter six of the constitution; and

Proficiency in Computer Applications.
