CIVIL ENGINEERING DIVISION CHIEF - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over supervisory employees assigned to Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC), Detachment (Det) 7, in support of Air Education and Training Command (AETC).

1. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Civil Engineering (CE) Division, ensuring that the CE mission complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. 2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. 3. Represents Civil Engineering (CE) Division with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. 4. As the I&MS CE advisor to the MAJCOM, advises commanders at all levels on AFIMSC infrastructure planning, programming, budgeting and execution processes.
