Civil Engineer

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as project manager and provides construction oversight and quality assurance for civil engineering related projects.

Develop and review engineering designs and the preparation of contract documents, which consist of plans, specifications and construction cost estimates.

Manage project through contract and completion.

Coordinate designs of proposed changes of specifications of buildings, systems and structures with staff and senior professional engineers of other engineering disciplines.

Develop criteria for civil engineering features to be used by architectural-engineering firms in preparing designs.

Serve as Project Manager, provides construction oversight and quality assurance for civil engineering related projects.

Responsible for the technical accuracy and adequacy of construction and maintenance projects within the facilities - $750,000/2,000,000 approval authority.

Design civil, sanitary engineering and structural systems and facilities, such as buildings, walls, roads, storm drain and sanitary sewer systems, houses and training facilities.
