CHIEF OF PROTOCOL

You will serve as a Chief of Protocol in the Department of the Navy of COMSIXTHFLEET SEA, Italy.

You will serve as technical advisor and provide continuous high-level advice to COMSIXTHFLT.

You will be responsible for developing the Community Outreach Program.

You will serve as the subject matter expert in Italian culture and Italian language, provides expert advice on local events, Italian political matters and local public opinions toward the American community.

You will represent the command at meetings, and exercise independent and innovative management control to ensure execution of the Command’s mission.

You will utilizing appropriate approaches and solutions to problems requiring knowledge of Italian history, culture, language and customs.

You will develop and brief decision papers directly to SIXTHFLT and briefs on all upcoming Protocol events.

You will establish and maintain effective and efficient working relationships with foreign representatives, civic authorities, individuals and groups in the local community.

You will manage internal funds for travel and training.

You will provide guidance and advice on the execution of receptions, luncheons, and hosted dinners and briefs attending Flag Officers on ceremonial courtesies and gift exchanges.
