Responsibilities:
Process customer payments accurately using cash, POS terminals, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.
Issue receipts, invoices, and proof of payment for all transactions.
Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift and reconcile daily sales.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and payment-related issues professionally.
Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and prepare end-of-day cash reports.
Ensure all cash, vouchers, and payment instruments are securely handled and accounted for.
Assist customers with product information, pricing, and promotions where required.
Monitor and report discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious transactions promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area.
Collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
Comply with company cash-handling procedures, financial controls, and security policies.
Support other administrative or retail duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Assistant, Customer Service Representative, or in a similar role.
Basic knowledge of cash handling and financial transactions.
Proficiency in using POS systems, cash registers, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong numerical, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High level of honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
