BOILER PLANT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

You will serve as a BOILER PLANT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Public Works Directorate (PWD) Pennsylvania of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

You will use meters, gauges, and computer generated data to determine adjustments or corrections necessary for proper boiler operations or changing load requirements.

You will adjusts fuel feeds and volume and velocity of draft and other fire box variables to achieve maximum combustion efficiency with changing load demands.

You will serve as “operator-in-charge” of the complete plant, on second and third shift.

You will monitor and tests the operation of power boiler systems to identify malfunctions and potential problems with equipment such as, automatic controls, valves, piping, pumps, and related components.

You will performs preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant systems and equipment including, boiler feed pumps, fuel oil pumps, air compressors, generators, boiler fixtures, combustion fans and water treatment equipment.
