Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tender Specialist (Construction) to develop accurate project pricing and prepare competitive tender submissions.
The role is responsible for evaluating project requirements, estimating consultancy and project costs, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, and ensuring commercially competitive and compliant proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit tender documents, quotations, and commercial proposals.
Review tender requirements, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop accurate pricing strategies.
Develop cost estimates and pricing for consultancy services, project deliverables, manpower, materials, and other project-related costs.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and service providers.
Prepare detailed pricing breakdowns, cost models, and commercial proposals based on project requirements and market rates.
Coordinate with technical, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to validate project scope and pricing assumptions.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive and commercially viable pricing.
Identify commercial risks, pricing gaps, and cost optimization opportunities during the tender process.
Maintain pricing databases, supplier records, historical tender data, and cost libraries.
Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements and submission deadlines.
Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and contract handovers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in tendering, bid management, estimating, commercial operations, or project costing.
Proven experience developing pricing for consultancy services, project-based work, supplier quotations, subcontractors, and technical or professional services.
Strong understanding of tender processes, commercial documentation, and cost estimation methodologies.
Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate commercial proposals.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including cost models, pricing analysis, and financial calculations.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
