ASSISTANT CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER DIRECTOR

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor and assist the Child Development Center Director in the supervision of the day to day operation of a Child Development Center. Assists with the supervision of the Child Development Center to provide specialized developmental childcare and instruction for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Assists the Child Development Center Director in the daily operations of the Child Development Center. Assists in the administration and evaluation of ongoing programs of individual and group developmental andeducational activities for staff implementation and execution. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Provides assistance in the management of funds and resources to include developing the annual NAF and APF budgets, which includes submission and prioritization of program component requirements. Assists the director in the administration of the USDA nutrition/food program. Provides oversight to the kitchen staff of the USDA food program requirements, maintenance of records, portions, cost cards, and proper serving and storing of food.
