Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist)

About the Position: These positions are with Evans Army Community Hospital. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Anesthetize patients for a broad range of surgeries extending from the simplest to the most complex of procedures. Evaluate patient’s physical and mental status with respect to anesthesia, consulting with the anesthesiologist, if necessary, to evaluate patient’s conditions and desired course of action. Observe the patient during surgery, to accomplish and maintain the proper level of anesthesia depth and to prevent over-dosage. Serve as resource consultant to a wide variety of professional health colleagues, regarding the latest advances in nursing anesthesia and nursing practice.
