Job Description
About the Role: The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial records.
This role also assists in resolving payment-related inquiries and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Process, code, verify, and post supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and execute weekly payment runs while ensuring compliance with company policies and payment schedules.
Perform bank postings and reconcile bank transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with payroll reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and perform ad hoc financial investigations as required.
Monitor the shared Accounts Payable email inbox and respond promptly to inquiries from internal teams and external vendors.
Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies.
Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
Support month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
Collaborate with the Finance team to improve processes and ensure the timely completion of accounting tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance.
Experience processing invoices, payment runs, and account reconciliations.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP or accounting systems is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
