Job Description
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and general ledger activities.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance.
Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, and financial schedules.
Plan and conduct internal audits to evaluate financial records, operational processes, and internal controls.
Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
Identify control weaknesses, financial risks, and operational inefficiencies.
Prepare audit reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
Support the preparation and filing of VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax (WHT), Company Income Tax (CIT), and other statutory obligations.
Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
Prepare financial analyses, variance reports, and budget performance reports.
Analyze financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Develop recommendations for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate financial records and audit documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Proven years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or ANAN is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, taxation, and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, or similar ERP systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
